What better way to celebrate the day of love than raising awareness about safe sex practices? The American Social Health Association has declared February National Condom Month and Valentines Day, February 14th, National Condom Day!
Every year more than 19 million cases of STDs occur in the US. Though not 100% effective, correct and consistent condom use provides substantial protection against STDs such as HIV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Event Ideas:
-Host a game or activity such as “Guess how many condoms in the jar” or “Steps to correctly put on a Condom”
-Do a sexual health education session
-Host a viewing party for movies such as “Let’s Talk About Sex”
-Give out educational materials during a Valentines Day Dance
-Team with local public health to host an event.
